FizBe - Flood Intelligent Zone Buoy & Beacon
FizBe is our premier device, a telescoping flood zone buoy that serves as an active, real-time warning system to drivers and pedestrians to avoid flooded areas.
OutSafe
A wearable, silent alert device to guide personnel to safety. Our OutSafe device is easily transportable and affordable. With this simple, yet impactful, security device, our customers not only feel safer, but they also find peace of mind in providing the device/service to campus attendees and visitors.
WHY FIZBE?
WHY FIZBE?
FizBe is a smart, flood-sensing buoy and early warning beacon designed to autonomously monitor local water levels, forecast rainfall, and alert communities before flood disasters occur.
FizBe integrates sonar-based, depth-sensing edge-deployed AI rainfall prediction (TinyML) and modular solar-powered hardware to provide real-time, localized flood data in at-risk zones. Ideal for rural levees, coastal zones, and urban creeks, FizBe operates independently of grid infrastructure and augments early warning systems.
The system aligns with several ERDC research priortities under CHL-20 (Comprehensie Water Risk Management), particularly, inland and coastal compound flooding, in-situdata collection, AI/ML hydrology integration, and flash flooding.
